Recently the Rochester Arc and Flame Center & Rochester Plant Engineers held a meeting to discuss how we can help each other with the welding trades in the Greater Rochester area. RPE is now listed on the Arc and Flame Center career page to help student obtain scholarship money to pay for their welding education. The partnering doesn’t just stop there. If any RPE members are looking for qualified welders, the Arc & Flame Center and/or RPE will be happy to send a list of individuals ready for interviewing and skill testing.
Because the trade industry needs to grow, the Rochester Plant Engineers have expanded the scholarships to the trades. Any student who wants to apply for the scholarship can via the website by filling out some information and writing a short essay with descriptions of who you are, what education and/or training one will be performing and how the finances will aid in completing your education. RPE will award the person(s) with a $500 – $1,500 award prior to the September start date of school and the individual(s) will receive a free invite and be recognized at the annual Clambake.
