What a fantastic event to close out the summer season! The Rochester Plant Engineers (RPE) and the Rochester Chapter of ASHRAE proudly hosted our annual Pig Roast and Clam Bake, bringing together members, guests, and industry professionals for an evening of great food, networking, and celebration.
A special thank you goes to Colby’s for providing an outstanding meal. Their team did a tremendous job, helping make the event a memorable experience for everyone in attendance.
With more than 80 guests joining us, the event was filled with camaraderie, conversation, and an appreciation for the strong community that continues to support our organization. Among the highlights of the evening was the presentation of our annual scholarships, an important tradition that recognizes and supports the next generation of skilled professionals and industry leaders.
Thanks to the strong participation and support of our members throughout the year, particularly at our two largest fundraising events, the Clam Bake and Golf Tournament, we were proud to award four scholarships this year. The recipients represented a diverse range of career paths and educational pursuits, including welding and construction management programs. We were especially pleased that two of the scholarship recipients were able to attend the event, with one traveling from Buffalo to join us for the celebration.
Following dinner, attendees enjoyed prize giveaways and delicious ice cream from Lugia’s, generously sponsored by NuFlow. We sincerely appreciate their continued support of our organization and events.
As the evening progressed and the sun began to set, many guests gathered on the patio to continue conversations while enjoying refreshments and cigars in a relaxed atmosphere. The beautiful weather, strong attendance, and opportunity to connect with members made the event a tremendous success.
The RPE Board extends its gratitude to everyone who attended and contributed to another outstanding year. While we greatly missed our fearless leader, Brian, whose absence was a frequent topic of conversation throughout the evening, the event was a wonderful reminder of the strength and engagement of our membership.
