ARC and Flame Welding Night

The RPE welding night at the ARC and Flame Center was a huge hit with all the people who attended. The evening started off with some pizza and catching up with those you haven’t seen in a while. The class then moved into the classroom where we learned about first things first…..SAFETY! The instructors Kevin and Scott described the type of welding (MIG) we would be performing and the many different ways to get the job done. Once the official; “this is how you do it” classroom training was done, we moved to our welding booths and worked with a partner practicing welding beads and joining metal together. After a few practice rounds, we then welded a nice piece of office decor to show our fellow office mates the skills we acquired.

Due to the overwhelming experience, RPE is planning on having another night with the crew at the ARC and Flame Center, this time it might be glass blowing, black smithing…..  Either way it will be a fun time.
