Transforming a School Bus into a Food Delivery Truck

These photos show RPE members Bill Everett and Tom Ward, along with retired Kodak engineer Bill Dassero volunteering their time to install shelving in a repurposed school bus. The bus will be used by community activists to distribute food and medical supplies to unhoused individuals in the Greater Rochester area.

Lumber and hangars were donated by Matthews and Fields Lumber Co.   The wooden shelves were made from high quality pallets and fabricated into  shelving by Bill Everett.

The bus is expected to roll out soon but is still being checked for some electrical issues and the diesel engine is being tuned up!

RPE is interested in hearing about other members community involvement. Send your story and photos to Tom Ward at rtward73@outlook.com
